Gavin Wood is an Innovation Fellow at Northumbria University on the Centre for Digital Citizens project. He has a background as a research software engineer with publications on games and play research. He has recently put on a virtual reality headset to explore everything about the Metaverse = the future of the Internet reimagined with 3D virtual worlds and focused on social connectivity. He is working to ensure it is safe, inclusive, and diverse.

Gavin publishes indie games under the name BaaWolf and can often be found flying around in virtual reality.
